A Community of Misfits on a Mission

Playroma

Playroma is a new children’s play group at Roots. Its name is a nerdy play on a Greek New Testament word: pleroma which is used to refer to the fullness of God that dwelt in Christ (e.g. Colossians 2:8).

At Roots our prayer is that our children grow into the amazing human beings God wants them to be. We also know as an intentionally inter-generational worshipping community that our children make our church complete. They bring energy and wisdom to us that inspires us to become the amazing human beings God wants us to be. Playroma is Roots’ bi-weekly children’s small group that meets Sunday mornings at Highland Park this fall.

During online service weeks (Sept. 19th, Oct. 10th & 24th, Nov. 7th & 21st) Amanda Johnson and Pastor Osheta invite you to come for a morning of play, fellowship, and faith. Pastor Osheta will prepare a short multi-aged kids message and activity for the gatherings. After a sacred circle time and craft feel free to stay and play, tune into the online church service from the park, or head home. This is a wonderful way to get to know other Roots’ families and receive support in helping your kiddos learn more about Jesus.

Playroma Schedule:
8:00-8:30 — Early Bird Free play
8:30-8:45 — Sacred Circle time
