In Roots’ rhythm of worship, fourth Sundays are Lovefeast Sunday. This month, our Lovefeast Sunday will be the first Shalom Session, a time of listening and learning from one another, a time of equipping and grounding, as well as a time of sharing in fellowship.
What is a Moravian Love Feast?
The Love Feast is a centuries-old tradition where we break bread together, not as a sacrament, but as a symbol of love and fellowship. We will sing hymns, offer prayers, and reflect on the lives of saints and loved ones who have inspired our faith journey.
What to Expect:
- A simple, potluck meal
- Songs of hope and peace, lifting our hearts in worship
- Dialogue about the state of the nation and our response
- A warm, welcoming space for all, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey
- All-ages integration
We invite you to come, bring a baked treat, dialogue, learn, and grow, while sharing in the love and fellowship of our community.
