Dear Roots Covenant members,
Over the past several weeks, Roots has been in a process of discerning the next team of leaders. We created a “Nominating Team” who were tasked with gathering nominations, praying, thinking about representation, and team dynamics. This nominating team included Pastor T. C., Naomi Krueger, Fue Thao, Miranda Xiong, and Pakou Yang. Then, the Nominating Team approached nominees and asked if they would accept their nomination. Of course, nominees were giving time to pray and discern themselves.
Well, the Nominating Team is excited to announce that five leaders have accepted their nomination for the new Leadership Team! Yay!!!
On Sunday, March 18th we will have a congregational meeting after the worship gathering to vote on this group of new leaders. We will also share a budget update and a pastor’s report.
The worship gathering that day will be shorter than usual and will be focused around time to share and discuss our thoughts and feelings related to all the transitions our Roots community has experienced over the past year. We will gather around tables with questions and provide each person with an opportunity to share and receive prayer.
