You’re invited to join other misfits tomorrow for a special Sunday Gathering: a Day of Service. We’re in a teaching series called “12 Ways to Be Christian” in which we’ve learned about “Taking Responsibility”, “Sharing Everything”, and “Protecting the Vulnerable.” To live these out, we’re partnering with a denomination called the Moravians that have an annual day of service on September 18th, along with Roots already being the St. Paul partner site of a national nonprofit organization called Laundry Love. Together with these partners, we will serve our neighbors here in the Midway by compiling laundry supplies and paying for washing and drying at a local laundromat.
Meet up at the Community Room of the Prior Works building (755 Prior Ave. N. in St. Paul) at 10:00am.
- Join us tomorrow for the Sunday Gathering—a combination of worship and fellowship. Coffee and donuts!
- Join us at the Midway Laundromat at the corner of Hamline and Minnehaha anytime between 11:30–2:00, where Pastor Osheta will be checking in neighbors and helping them wash their laundry.
- Give to our Laundry Love Fund. Every dollar in that account goes to laundry supplies, hospitality, and coins for washing/drying.
- Pray for our Midway neighbors, for those experiencing homelessness, and that those we serve experience God’s love.
