Come celebrate Mutterfest with us this Mother’s Day : a cherished Moravian tradition honoring the Holy Spirit as the Mother of the Church.
Rooted in tender strength and divine care, this gathering invites us to encounter God’s love in a deeply relational and restorative way. We’ll share in song, prayer, and reflection as we remember the Spirit who births, sustains, and gathers us into community.
Whether you are a mother, are missing your mother, are mothering in unconventional ways, or are still figuring out what mothering means for you — you belong here. The God who mothers all of us is making space for ALL of us.
Special musical guest: Rachel Kurtz, Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter and soul-blues powerhouse joining us as our worship leader.
ntegrated into the Gathering by Pastor Osheta: Painting Olla Lids for Shanita’s Garden
On this day of mothering, we’ll tend to the garden that holds Shanita’s memory. Join us in painting clay olla lids — the little caps that sit atop the watering pots in the garden, helping our plants stay nourished and held. Each lid we paint becomes a small act of care for the soil Shanita loved, and the community she helped grow. Bring your hands and your love.
What to expect: communal song, pastries, coffee and tea, gentle reflection, and Rachel’s voice tending to our souls to give us a place to rest.
All are welcome. Come as you are.
