As we begin a new year and a new chapter in Roots’ story, we are also coming close to beginning the Lenten season when the church journeys with Jesus to the Cross and through death into the Resurrection. This provides us with a unique opportunity to reflect and explore our dreams for Roots’ future, our personal discipleship, and our collective mission as an expression of the body of Christ in St. Paul.
The “One Church, Many Gifts” Retreat offers us time and space to explore our gifts, passions, skills, and experience as a way of discerning our callings from God. As individuals and as a community we are called by God. This two-part retreat is a way for us to get to know one another better, while also learning how we can support one another in our discipleship and obedience to God’s call on our lives.
