This Sunday, to cap off our teaching series “Spoke in the Wheel,” we have the privilege of hearing from Pastor José Humphreys, pastor of Metro Hope Covenant Church in Harlem, New York. He’ll be teaching on Bonhoeffer’s famous concept of “Cheap Grace” and where it originates. Pastor José is also the author of Seeing Jesus in East Harlem: What Happens When Churches Show Up and Stay Put, which is a fantastic book about the church’s mission of embodying the Gospel in our contexts.
We will also be commemorating Christ the King Sunday, when the church celebrates the inauguration of God’s Kingdom and the reign of Christ as King.
