Join the misfits of Roots this Sunday at 10am at Newell Park for a worship gathering including our beautiful traditions of blessing the children and closing musical benediction in addition to dialogue and holy communion.
This week, we’re continuing in our teaching series, “The Church as Forged Family,” with dialogue questions raised by Pastor T. C.’s message, “Setting the Lonely in Families.” If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here on the church’s website or on YouTube.
Dialogue Questions
Here are a few questions you can reflect on in preparation for dialogue on Sunday:
• Psalm 68 extols God for being a “father to the fatherless, a defender or widows.” Why do you think it was important for the psalmist to praise God for these things?
• The psalmist also praises God for “setting the lonely in families.” How have you seen this happen?
• What are some of the challenges of approaching church as family?
• What would it look like for Roots to become a family?
