Join us for worship as we continue in our teaching series on the book of Romans. This week, Pastor T. C. will preach on 1.17–2.16. As we read this passage in the light of the conflict between the factions of the so-called “Weak” and the so-called “Strong,” we see a different picture emerge than the one Protestants traditionally see. What if this passage isn’t about the universal guilt of all human beings, but is instead about how stereotyping is a form of un-Christlike judgment. With insights from Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Pastor T. C. will show that Paul is using a rhetorical trap to expose the “danger of a single story.”
