Our lives are made up of rhythms, everyday actions and behaviors that form us. We believe that to live out our potential as humans, we must be in sync with the Creator God who created us in his image and likeness. We want to love what God loves, desire what God desires, and participate in what God is doing in this world. In other words, we long to have a heart that beats in rhythm with God’s own heart. As a new people rooted in Jesus, we seek to cultivate a collective and personal rhythm that forms us more into the image of Jesus.
We live this out as a community (collective rhythm) and we encourage each other to live the rhythm out as individuals (personal rhythm). We encourage each other to find out what rhythms of life energize, inspire and strengthen us, and to live them out.
COLLECTIVE RHYTHM
B.E.A.T.S.
- Blessing
- The Hebrew word for blessing is barak which literally means “to strengthen or encourage.” When we gather, we will have a time to bless one another.
- Eating
- Something powerful happens when we share a meal with others. When we gather, we will share the Lord’s Supper together and after our gathering, we encourage one another to catch a meal with others.
- Adoration
- We believe God deserves more than what we can offer and yet we are invited to worship and commune with God in adoration and praise. When we gather, we will creatively and authentically worship God together.
- Teaching
- The scriptures reveal who God is, who we are, and who we are called to be. When we gather, we will receive teaching that is rooted in scripture and applicable to life.
- Sharing
- God invites us all to witness to his activity and movement in our lives. When we gather, we will have a time where folks can share how God is transforming and molding us to become a new creation people.
The goal is that this collective rhythm will inspire us to live out a new personal rhythm.
