Like all of you, the Leadership Team (LT) and Pastoral Team (PT) of Roots are beyond weary of this pandemic and can’t wait until the day when we can gather together in person without COVID-19 looming over us. However, we also can’t in good conscience put any of you, our church family, at additional and unnecessary risk. The Omicron variant appears to be spreading rapidly and seems to be far more easily contracted than previous strains. The case numbers here in Minnesota continue to climb. For these reasons and because we care about your health, the LT and PT have decided to pivot to online gatherings for the season of Epiphany, which leads up until Ash Wednesday (March 2nd).
This decision was not easy; we love being with you all in person. Please know that Pastors T. C. and Osheta are taking time this weekend to pray and plan for ways of safely connecting that will strengthen community and deepen our discipleship.
